Pilchu Haram and His Sons
According to the traditional Santal birth story, Marangburu then teaches Pilchu Haram and Pilchu Buri to make intoxicants and then suggests a puja ceremony. Marangburu ordered to take that intoxicant in certain quantities. One morning Pilchu Buri and Pilchu Haram drink an excessive amount of a local alcohol called ‘Haria’ and become intoxicated, defying Marangburu’s prohibition which leads to an argument. In a fit of rage, pilchu Haram left the old woman with their seven sons and eight daughters. Pilchu Buri helplessly asked Shiva for advice. Marangburu on hearing this problem immediately suggested as a solution that 8 daughters would be with Pilchu Buri and 7 sons would be with Pilchu Haram.
Here the Artist depicted a scene where Pilchu Haram teaching his sons how to use the weapon and hunt in the jungle. Then Pilchu Haram send his sons to the jungle to hunt.
