The exhibition brings together 23 practising printmakers from West Bengal, engaging with the idea of faith and belief as enduring forces that have shaped human civilisation, cultural narratives, and social values across time. Using printmaking as a medium rooted in tradition, discipline, and transmission, the exhibition explores how spiritual and religious ideas have shaped personal experiences, collective histories and social relationships. Rather than addressing belief systems through a singular lens, the exhibition presents diverse artistic responses that invite reflection, dialogue and contemplation.
IN THE NAME OF GOD offers audiences an opportunity to engage with printmaking practices that explore faith, ethics, memory and human experience, reaffirming the medium’s relevance as a space for thoughtful artistic inquiry within contemporary culture.
