Empowering Women Through Art and Skill Development
Creating Pathways to Independence at Shelter Homes

At Bridging Culture and Arts Foundation (B-CAF), we believe in the transformative power of art to uplift lives and foster independence. In collaboration with ITI, B-CAF recently conducted a Bag-Making Workshop at a local shelter home, focusing on empowering women from challenging backgrounds. The workshop provided participants with hands-on training in crafting eco-friendly, market-ready bags. Beyond technical skills, it served as a platform for building confidence, nurturing creativity and opening pathways to sustainable livelihoods. Each bag created was a step toward economic independence, a testament to resilience and a symbol of hope. B-CAF’s broader mission integrates traditional and contemporary art forms into skill-building programs. From Kantha embroidery and natural dyeing to upcycling and paper crafts, we aim to equip marginalized communities with practical skills that lead to self-reliance and financial empowerment. This workshop reaffirmed our commitment to fostering self-sufficiency and resilience among those who need it most. At B-CAF, we continue to champion initiatives that blend creativity with empowerment, helping remarkable individuals move closer to brighter, self-sustained futures. Together, we are transforming lives, one skill at a time.
